Business Overview

Let history, romance and the natural beauty of Hawaii surround you during a wedding ceremony at Trinity Episcopal Church by the Sea.  If you are of the Episcopal faith, Father Austin Murray is our Priest in Charge.  If you practice another faith, you may still rent our venue and bring your own officiant.  100% of funds raised help with the overhead of this historic church and the outreach ministries like "A Cup of Cold Water," a community care van and volunteers devoted to seeking out and helping the homeless here on Maui.   Originally named Kilolani Church, and built in 1852 by David Malo, the third Native Hawaiian to be ordained in Christian ministry.  Since then, the historical site has undergone a series of trials, including being set ablaze during the 1893 overthrow, flooding from a 100-year storm that demolished its walls in the early 1900's and subsequent abandonment.  However in 1976, the small congregation of Trinity by the Sea revived the sanctuary and it has been a labor of love ever since. Now, the site serves as a beautiful outdoor setting for rustic weddings, along with regular church services.  The structures challenges add to its allure; and the site's significance has been able to withstand the test of time.  An onsite wedding coordintor will help with important details.  For more information, please call Trinity or check out our website and fill out an inquiry.  There is plenty of room to set up tents on our lawns.  Our parking lot houses 100 or more cars.  We have a large reception hall with an attached kitchen as well as a paved area next to the sanctuary where tables can be set up for after events and night lighting.
